Revaz was born In 1975 near the Black Sea in Sukhumi East Georgia, into a family of artists - his father is Alexei Kvaratskheliya. He has been exposed to artistic influences since his birth and at a young age was particularly interested in Impressionism. He experimented with painting with light, not using the same colours as the impressionists, but trying to work in a similar way. Since those early days he has experimented with the styles of many other schools - he particularly admires Van Gogh, Modigliani, Dali and Utrillo. He paints different subjects, but most important for him is exploring technique and expressing his feelings about nature through his use of colour. The hot bright colours of his childhood environment influenced his choice of palette. His work combines the reality of objects, people and place with an eccentric fantasy, suffused with the warm colours of the south. In 1993 he graduated from the Art School in Sukhumi and went on to study in the Artistic and Graphics Faculty of the Nizhniy-Tagil Academy. He graduated as a teacher in 1998. From 1993 he began to visit St Petersburg periodically, to explore that artistic environment and discover its styles and trends. After graduating he moved there and now works as an independent artist.
He has exhibited his work in Italy, the Czech Republic & USA as well as Georgia, Russia and his pictures are in many private collections in these countries as well as France, Japan, Sweden, Tunisia and Argentina.
